Page Graham, LICSW

Having a place to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences without judgement or retaliation is invaluable. Participating in therapy provides a unique space to dump everything out of your mind and body- sort through with an unbiased observer- and identify what is important now, what can be put aside for later, what needs a tune-up, and what can be left behind. The human experience is a group one- we need others to see things clearly- that’s where therapy comes in.

Feeling safe and comfortable is key. Having a genuine connection and relationship with your therapist- through personal interest, life experience, or just the “click” that happens is the number one predictor of therapy success. The relationship with your therapist can act as a practice area for setting boundaries, practicing newly obtained interpersonal skills, while simultaneously receiving caring, nurturing, and honest feedback supportive of your own mental health goals. The time spent in therapy is yours; you control the journey. As a therapist my job is to support navigation and plan the trip. Working collaboratively on your identified areas of desired change creates a dynamic often not found in other relationships within our professional or personal experience.
